Petit Biscuit Enters a New Era With ‘Movement I,’ a Cinematic, Club-Ready Reset

French producer Petit Biscuit kicks off a bold new chapter with Movement I, a genre-blurring EP that fuses cinematic emotion with club-ready energy.

Petit Biscuit has always had a way of making electronic music feel human — intimate, atmospheric, and just a little bit otherworldly. But with his new EP, Movement I, the French producer signals a major shift. This isn’t just a continuation of what he’s been doing. It’s the beginning of something bigger, bolder, and more emotionally charged.

At the heart of the six-track project is a stunning cover of Radiohead’s “Everything In Its Right Place” featuring Lizzy Land. It’s moody and magnetic, built on warm synth textures, weightless ambience, and Land’s breathy, angelic vocals. While the original is icy and cerebral, Petit Biscuit’s version wraps around you like smoke. It’s less of a remix and more of a full-body reimagination — one that feels deeply personal, like a sunrise slowly breaking through the fog.

Elsewhere on the EP, he stretches his range in all directions. There’s a gritty, high-energy banger with French bass producer Asdek that hits with the force of a warehouse rave. It accompanies more melodic moments like “Without You,” a velvety collaboration with Surf Mesa and JP Saxe that somehow manages to feel like both a club track and a heart-to-heart. Think late-night emotional release set to synths and piano chords that linger long after the drop.

“The Forest” follows its own storyline. Co-created with French YouTuber Amixem during a 24-hour locked-in studio session, the track was performed live for a festival crowd the very next day. That spontaneous, in-the-moment energy pulses through it, equal parts cinematic and primal. It’s the kind of track that sounds like it was made for big crowds yet still hits when you’re alone with your headphones.

To round it all out, Petit Biscuit dropped A Day With Petit Biscuit: SUNRISE (DJ Mix) on Apple Music in early March, a mix that feels like a companion piece to the EP. It’s a slow build of emotion and energy, unfolding like the kind of morning where you’re driving home from the rave, windows down, heart full.

With over four billion streams already behind him, Petit Biscuit could easily coast on past success. But Movement I proves he’s more interested in evolution than repetition. It’s club music for the deep feelers, festival anthems with emotional depth. And with a summer tour locked in — starting April 20 at Lyon’s Reperkusound on a massive 360° stage — he’s bringing that vision to life in real time. If Movement I is any indication, Petit Biscuit isn’t just growing — he’s glowing up.

Based in Southern California, Jackie grew up with a profound love for all things dance music. She found a home in the festival scene and realized her dream of pursuing a career in music and event production at just fourteen. Over the years, she has worked in various facets of the industry, including writing for various media outlets, managing social media at Audio San Francisco, organizing local events with Burning Man, and working as artist transportation at festivals like Life Is Beautiful. She fell in love with Anjunadeep during her time at Audio, with progressive and deep house encapsulating her heart. However, her music taste spans far and wide, so you never know which side of the festival grounds you may find her at. When she's not bopping around a festival, you'll likely find her behind the decks as DJ JAKLŸN.
