Expand Your Mind with Zingara’s New EP, ‘For The Crystal Children’

Zingara releases her four-track EP, For The Crystal Children, coinciding with the start of her US headlining tour.

This year has been a massive one for spiritual bass producer Zingara. From performing at Red Rocks to appearances at Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, and Shambhala, she has become a familiar and welcome name on major lineups across North America.

Taking the electronic music scene by storm, Zingara’s meteoric rise may be attributed to her distinct sound. It fuses her spirituality with bewitching soundscapes, leaving listeners spellbound.

Zingara’s newest musical release, For The Crystal Children, serves as a follow-up to her debut album, The Code of Dreamz, released earlier this year. The four-track EP further explores the powers of manifestation as she dissects her childhood dreams and her desire to bring them to life. Using specific keys to target listeners’ chakras, the EP aims to create a full-body experience intended to enlighten you as you travel to new spaces within your mind.

When it was time to start brainstorming new ideas, this concept popped into my head. The Crystal Children are souls that volunteer to come to Earth to help the collective learn to love and heal.

The title track opens the EP, a fitting start for the journey ahead. Spoken word lyrics introduce Zingara’s concept of crystal children before propelling them into a bass-heavy world exploring the inner workings of your brain.

“Move With The Sound” features the talents of Grammy award-winning trumpeter Maurice Brown, best known for his work with Anderson .Paak. The mystic, dark motifs enchant with punchy basslines and a tribal feel.

“Shape Shift” begins as an upbeat bass house number with a Zingara spin as the latter half sees the energy take a turn for the deeper. Closing out the EP, Zingara joins forces with up-and-coming producer Steller for a unique collaboration touting intergalactic bass elements and trumpet. Titled “Rhythm of Life,” the vibrant conclusion celebrates the life the listener has created while serving as a reminder to live in the present moment.
