Odd Mob and OMNOM are taking listeners to a new plane of existence with the release of their first HYPERBEAM EP, The Unexplained.

Sparks fly when two house music artists who have picked up major momentum in the scene collide, and that’s exactly what happened when Odd Mob and OMNOM first began working together. Both producers built quite a legacy for themselves already, with Odd Mob cutting his teeth in the vibrant Australian scene while OMNOM dropped heater after heater on Dirtybird and other labels in the US. But in 2022, the two came together with Roland Clark to release “Strut,” and then again the following year for “Bees” and sensational hit “Losing Control.”

The latter of those three tracks proved the power of Odd Mob and OMNOM’s collaborative spirit, and the two have since gone on to stun crowds with b2b performances and even more tunes. Late last year, they captured this energy like a firefly in a jar and dropped another stunner, “Mind Awake, Body Asleep,” catapulting them further into the cosmos as HYPERBEAM.

“The whole mentality behind HYPERBEAM has always been for us to just have fun with it,” OMNOM said about the project. “All of it really just stems from us trying to create something very new and different from what people have come to expect from our solo projects both sonically and visually.”

“Mind Awake, Body Asleep” trumpeted the arrival of the HYPERBEAM project, and Odd Mob and OMNOM haven’t held back since. The second single for the project, “All Day, All Night,” arrived in February to energize the feet of bass house lovers worldwide. Now, the duo has unveiled even more tracks to get you moving on the dancefloor with The Unexplained EP, out now on Insomniac Records.

This EP is heavy. Combining elements of techno, bass house, blog house, and tech house, it’s a club focused compilation of stuff thrown together in a chaotic fun-filled studio session

Odd Mob

Featuring the two aforementioned singles along with another helping of bass house heat, The Unexplained is the perfect introduction to what’s to come from the HYPERBEAM project. The second track on the release, “Reading My Mind,” offers a mind-warping soundscape for listeners to explore, while the repeated vocals from Sarah de Warren add a layer of sultry goodness into the mix. The other fresh tune, “Okay Fine,” is also an absolute bop, with its spellbinding blend of vocals, rolling basslines that boom, and spacey synths.

The Unexplained EP is just the kick off before we start touring and we hope it gets our listeners very excited for what is to come when we finally start playing our first shows as HYPERBEAM this summer.
