Deep Dark & Dangerous released a 20-track remix compilation with fresh takes on fan favorites from Truth, Ternion Sound, Distinct Motive, and more.

Deep Dark & Dangerous has remained a shining beacon of influence in the dubstep scene, from its New Zealand roots to its ever-growing support from US fans everywhere in between. The Truth-led label consistently redefines the genre while giving proper odes to its roots. Deep Dark & Dangerous, fondly abbreviated as “DDD,” holds a lengthy roster of both emerging and returning talents and countless cutting-edge releases, all meticulously curated to match their signature aesthetic.

From their guest mix series to their live showcases and their ever-growing discography, Deep Dark & Dangerous always has more of what their listeners are craving up their sleeves. This time, fans have been treated to a massive new compilation from the crew, featuring 20 new remixes of past DDD tracks to celebrate the 4/20 weekend. Looking at the tracklist, DDD 420 will have most dubstep fans struggling to decide which remix to pick first, with household names like Medicine Place, Substance, IDHS, Widow, and more offering their takes on favorite existing tracks.

Ternion Sound, Hypho, PAV4N, and Strategy‘s “Relentless” has been a major hit since its release, so it’s undoubtedly a standout on the tracklist for many at first glance. ColtCuts took the remix honors for this crazy collaboration and certainly delivered an addicting, drum-heavy breakbeat take on the tune that is truly hard to get enough of.

Truth offers a speaker-shaking remix for Widow and Logan’s “War,” while Basura, LSN, and Karnage took the honors of their first remixes for the label heads themselves. Basura’s heavy-hitting take on Truth’s “Elephant Scatter” is an instant smash replay for 140-heads and one of our favorites on the project.

Wraz. fans will be stoked to find his tunes abundant on DDD 420, with hot new versions of three of his tracks, “Akuma,” “Mare,” and “Swarm.” For his own offering, Wraz. spins his sultry take on MYTHM and ColtCut’s “Dead End.” Distinct Motive‘s 2017 DDD classic “F Class” got new renditions by IDHS and Dayzero, with another of his tunes tackled by TakJacob.

This project has too many heaters to name them all, so head over to Spotify or your preferred platform with your best speakers to listen to DDD 420 for yourself.
