Rising hard techno specialist BØMBSQVAD makes his Paradigm Shift debut with a high-octane, hybrid guest mix.
Over the past few years, hard techno’s growth in the States has brought many fresh faces and innovative ideas to the scene. Just like how GRAVEDGR made his way to the dark side, many other DJs/producers are following the sirens. Captivated by pounding beats and drifting screeches, hard techno is “more than music; it’s a canvas for emotions,” says BØMBSQVAD. It’s a way of life where I, and those who join me, harness our passion, experiences, and energy to forge a dark, electrifying dance experience that transcends words.“
This is how one of the underground kings interprets hard techno and all the progress it’s made in recent memory. BØMBSQVAD has been on a mission to showcase hard dance and hard techno to the masses in the Los Angeles dance music scene. It’s only fitting considering the explosive rise in the two genres’ popularity.
Luckily, BØMBSQVAD has proven to be an expert in both. “I began my journey into hard dance when I stumbled upon DJs like Showtek, Headhunterz, and Wildstylez,” he said. When he saw Angerfist and Miss K8 at Basscon Wasteland, he was immediately hooked. “Their performance was a turning point, motivating me to delve into music production.“
Ever since these formative times, BØMBSQVAD has been dropping nukes during his live sets, perfecting his craft, and preparing for imminent destruction. Looking to keep his momentum going, he stopped by to make his Paradigm Shift debut. BØMBSQVAD’s a guest mix nearly clocking in at one hour and a half of hard techno and hard dance heaters.
Listeners will delight in the ultimate hybrid mix full of industry figureheads like Lady Faith, D-Sturb, and Deadly Guns. On the hard techno side, BØMBSQVAD highlights artists like 3DMA, LORENZØ, and so many more. He also provides a dose of his fiery originals like “We Go Crazy” and “Demons,” among others.
The American hardcore scene is steadily building a dedicated following in the United States. One notable trend that I believe is contributing to this growth is the infusion of hardcore kicks into the techno scene. This crossover is attracting a new wave of ravers who are embracing the raw and energetic essence of hardcore music. With this fusion and the ever-growing passion of the fan base, American hardcore has the potential to continue its upward trajectory in the future.
