Cour T. Delivers His Debut Album to Dirtybird Records

Cour T. is ready to make your head spin with Brain Deals, featuring 12 mind-altering tracks and nods to his Brazilian roots!

Since the 2019 release of the Black Magic EP, Cour T. has become an indispensable member of the groove-centric house label known as Dirtybird Records. Also a regular on the decks at Dirtybird Campout and Dirtybird CampINN, his wild and wacky Brazilian sounds fit right in with the flock, joining the ranks of fellow Brazilians, Danny Kolk, Bruno Furlan, Ciszak, and DJ Glen. Today, he takes his bond with the label to the next level with the release of his debut album, Brain Waves.

Select singles off of this mind-bending, 12-track package have been making their rounds since June. “TRiiiBAILE” and “2D5” set a tribal tone, followed up by the smooth, hallucinatory sounds of “TRiPPPY” before “QUEENLOVE” took fans to their happy place with a blast of sonic serotonin.

The completed album ensures that the cranial synapses keep firing with some of the most insane beats Cour T. has ever produced. This becomes vividly clear when you smash play on tracks like “COLAPSADO,” “ERASER,” and “AYDIA” alongside DJ Glen.

If these selections put your brain in too tight a twist, might I suggest unwinding it with “DONTE STOPE DOPE,” “MADRUGADAO,” and “OZ.” This trio of tracks still delivers a dose of delirium, but in a seriously subtle fashion.

When it comes to outside-the-box vocal performances, Cour T. doesn’t skimp on those, either. “FELPUDO” and “CRYSTAL” are two of the most unhinged songs of the lot when it comes to vocal tone and message. If Brain Deals came with a warning label, it would tell you to keep your therapist on speed dial.

Creating an album is one of the highlights of an artist. It took me about four years to conceive all of it and reach enough maturity to compile stories and experiences into a musical artistic expression. Everything I have learned and have enjoyed listening to and playing, it all led to 10 months of work on the development of Brain Deals. This is a piece of me that I’ve decided to share with you all!”
