Same Same But Different is just around the corner, and we’re ecstatic to return to Lake Perris for another edition of the beloved Southern California camping festival. The event takes place September 28 – October 1 and will host a variety of musical acts, including headliners Polo & Pan, GRiZ, Louis The Child, and Big Wild, in addition to a stacked undercard with huge sets in store from artists like Moontricks, Megan Hamilton, SunSquabi, The Motet, and What So Not, among many others.

The music won’t be the only thing to keep you engaged and stimulated throughout the festival with activations like the Karnival of the Arts’ Creation Station. In this space, attendees can look forward to workshops such as Igniting Your Inner Poet, Whoa: Upcycled Make Your Own Clothing, Wire Wrapping, and Blacklight Body Painting. There will also be many fun camp activities, ranging from dodgeball and floatie races to hula hoop contests and burlesque.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Inner Space will be home to various yoga and stretching workshops and a plethora of speakers that dive deeper into topics like conscious dating, twerkshops, and sound baths, to name a few. Whether you’re getting down to music all weekend, making time to expand your mind and explore different workshops, or splashing around in the lake, there’s so much to look forward to this year at Same Same But Different. As the weekend of the festival approaches, be sure to check out all the essential information below, including set times, festival maps, Thursday night pre-party deets, and more, to dial in your weekend plans.

Reminder To Mind Your Belongings:

Unfortunately, many people have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables during this festival season. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers, and it’s important to be mindful of your valuables while at Same Same But Different.

Looking for tips to keep your belongings safe? Check our post highlighting some ideas!

You can bring alcohol into the camping areas. You must be 21 to consume alcohol. No kegs.
