Catz ‘n Dogz ‘Can’t Stand’ You Missing Their Latest EP

Catz ‘n Dogz make their Crosstown Rebels debut with Can’t Stand – featuring two tracks and a remix from Robag Wruhme!

Acclaimed Polish producer/DJ duo Catz ‘n Dogz may be deep in the midst of their 20 Years of Catz ‘n Dogz World Tour but that hasn’t slowed them down from delivering fresh tunes! First came “Diva” featuring the lovely Lolita Leopard, and today, they turn the volume up with a brand new EP called, Can’t Stand. Contrary to its title, this feisty two-tracker will get you up out of your seat in a flash, featuring vocalist ZenSoFly and a special Flodder Buck Rehand remix by German producer Robag Wruhme. What’s more? This release marks the very first time that Catz ‘n Dogz has graced the catalog of Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels.

The EP kicks off with the title track, welcoming back ZenSoFly after crushing it with the boys and Maxville on “Wave.” For this go-round, the trio serves up something super slick and shadowy. The vocals are purposely soft yet able to fling out buckets of intensity at the same time. This partners perfectly with the punchy pulse, allowing the room to sit securely atop the deep groove. Known for his outlandish sound quality, Robag Wruhme makes a vivacious impression on the remix. He distorts every element in such a way that, while the general idea is still intact, listening will make you feel like you’ve ingested some pretty heavy substances. From the undulating synth waves to the gentle buzz and disfigured vocal tones, you’ll leave this experience absolutely glowing.

Last but certainly not least is “Wake Up,” a track that does its due diligence to get you out of bed and onto the dancefloor. There are so many special details to appreciate on this one. The first to stand out is the underlying beat that chops through the air with fervor while a clap adds the extra zing to ping the senses to life. Add to that a creepy voice that lumbers around in the background and you have yourself a tune worth paying attention to. But, this is not where we leave off. Catz ‘n Dogz goes on to intertwine synthy string elements into the overall odd, yet utterly satisfying sound palette, creating a chef’s kiss experience.
