Massano Breaks Out of The Simulation with His Label Launch

Rising techno star Massano brings Simulate Recordings to fruition and elevates to the next level of his career with The Theory!

Melodic techno music maker and Afterlife regular Massano hasn’t been around for too long, but in the three years he’s been delivering beats, he’s made quite the impression! He paints the dancefloor with soundwaves soaked in complex melodics and moody basslines, leaving listeners begging for more time with the Liverpool-based creative. Today, this deep desire has been fulfilled with the official launch of Simulate Recordings!

The imprint’s mission is simple yet vastly complex. With the blending of music, technology, and philosophical exploration, Massano hopes to challenge our perception of reality and set our minds on the future – a time in which the simulation has been revealed and life as we know it has morphed into something beyond comprehension. To make his vision come to life, Massano introduces us to The Theory.

I always like to associate the elements in music I listen to with physical beings or ideas. My idea for Simulate is exactly the visions this music provokes – it’s about accompanying digital ideology and theories with visions for the future. Through this label, I’m aiming to provide new experiences and push others to embrace the possibility that life could be a simulation whilst imagining how a future world controlled by technology could be.

The Theory first reveals itself through “Alone,” featuring a striking vocal performance from braev. Straight out of the gate, this track slaps the senses to attention with a repetitive rise-and-fall string detail before roaring synths snatch the limelight. These elements take turns bouncing back and forth from one another, allowing the dynamic energy to ebb and flow before uniting on the back end for an impactful final bow.

“The Blaze” keeps the fire burning with a large pallet of gritty synth expressions and flighty tones. This bold mix of melodic detail keeps the track feverishly mysterious yet delightfully danceable, priming the body for the closing track. Listeners beware, entering the sound horizon of “Paranoia” will entice true delusions to rip into reality as the subconscious awakens. The track accomplishes this with the blending of bone-chilling sonic vibrations and ruthless top-end tones that punch a hole straight through the psyche.

Do you dare explore the simulation? Celebrate the launch of Simulate by listening to The Theory on your favorite music platform, and let us know what you think about the beats on Twitter!

Maria first fell in love with electronic music in the early 2000's when she heard a little tune called "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. Since then she has dived headfirst into the scene and is wildly passionate about the trance, techno, and house genres. Festival's like EDC, Dreamstate, and Dirtybird Campout hold the key to her soul and dance music will always and forever be a major part of her life.
