Ooga brings funky fresh sounds to the electronic music scene with his delectable debut EP, What Makes It Work.

Ooga is a name that is circling heavily in the bass music scene because this rising artist has perfected his funk-a-licious yet soulful beats that are impossible to resist. If you thought his production style brings energy, you should see his contagious stage presence. He is built for entertainment through and through – and you can always expect a one-of-a-kind experience whenever he’s around.

With style as unique and sought-after as Ooga’s, it comes as no surprise that he has been gracing several lineups. He’s joined in on the fun at the Incendia stage with Eazybaked and friends at Okeechobee and is set to play at some beloved festivals this year, including The Untz and Lightning in a Bottle. A busy summer lies ahead, which makes it a perfect time to showcase some new sounds. Today, Ooga unleashed three groovy tracks on his debut EP, What Makes It Work, which will have you dancing the entire time.

You enter a liquid wobbly space as the title track, “What Makes It Work,” begins the adventure into Ooga’s world. The anticipation will kill you until a voice starts talking in your ear and begins sharing wisdom. But from there, you’ll feel as if you’re bouncing around on the tops of colorful mushrooms in a video game as the insightful voice of reason transports you into the next wonky assortment of sounds.

Up next, “Funkert” really rings true to its name as the funky track is full of groovy energy, along with enough catchy guitar riffs and drums to get anyone excited. Bringing the three-track ride to a close with a more gentle pace is “Rawthentic.” This one feels as if you’re among the birds as you hear chirping all around you until a guitar eases into focus, resembling a beautiful sunset with each intimate note that passes by.

Listen and see for yourself how inspiring a trip with Ooga as your guide can be on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay up to date by following his Twitter to see what he’s up to next!
