Movement Detroit reveals the full lineup for 2023, including Bonobo, Rebūke, Stephan Bodzin, Skrillex, FISHER, Soul Clap, and more!
If you find yourself drawn to the pulse-pumping beats of the underground, then Movement Detroit should definitely be on your radar. It’s arguably the biggest house and techno festival in the country, with a healthy dose of hip-hop and more, taking place in the literal birthplace of the techno genre. Every year, the biggest and brightest stars of the industry, as well as the rising talent of the world, touch down alongside the Detroit River at Detroit Hart Plaza for three days of culture and release.
This year, the party goes down on May 27-29, and after last month’s lineup teaser got everyone busting out their credit cards, the official lineup will get you even more excited for the moment you can step through those gates! While fans of Movement gushed over previously announced acts like Charlotte De Witte, Dom Dolla b2b John Summit, and Giorgia Angiuli, the anticipation is reaching a fever pitch now that these next characters are involved.
For a quick taste of what to expect, music lovers will be treated to epic beats brought to life by show-stopping talents, including Ricardo Villalobos, Stacey Pullen, Ida Engberg, Maceo Plex, and Sara Landry. Of course, Detroit’s own will be laying it down when hot acts like sinistarr, Father Dukes, DJ Seoul, and Kash Doll take over the stage. Of course, no festival would be complete without a few special moments, and Movement has got this covered and then some.

One of the first special acts to jump off the page is Kaskade Redux, a project from the beloved artist that often features fresh cuts and edits while paying homage to his roots. Skrillex is also set to play the festival this year as he continues to ride high off his recently released albums. Then there’s J House & Masquenada, who will bring the vibes from their Houseparty collective, representing the true culture of the Detroit underground with a solid mix of R&B, hip-hop, and house.
Even Zeds Dead is getting in on the fun as they bring their Altered States side to alter everyone’s brainwaves with some serious vibes. Add to that a massive spread of unique occurrences like a live set from Shigeto featuring Dez Andres and a hybrid set from Javonnitte & Issac, and you have a recipe for a weekend you’ll never forget.
