David Herrlich Drops Two House Heaters on Box Of Cats

Grant Gilmore
David Herrlich

German house producer David Herrlich delivers two club-ready weapons with the release of No More / Burn on Box Of Cats.

It’s getting chilly in the Northern Hemisphere as the fall months take control – but that isn’t stopping David Herrlich from continuing to bring the heat with some groovy house soundscapes. This German DJ and producer has delivered some absolute jams on labels like hau5trap, Terminal Underground, Medium Rare Recordings, and more since first making a splash back in 2019. Now, Box Of Cats becomes the latest imprint to host his tunes with the release of his recent two-tracker, No More / Burn.

There’s a mysterious ambiance that begins this two-track ride on “No More.” There’s no stopping this tune in its mission of consuming every ounce of your being with its synth stabs and vocals that suck you in and spit you right back out. Once David Herrlich is in full control, he turns back the clock a bit with the second tune, “Burn.” The piano notes and vocals give this a classic house feel, while the punchy kicks will have listeners shuffling right along with this heater of a tune.

Close your eyes when listening to these two tracks, and you’ll be taken into a darkened, smoke-filled nightclub with David Herrlich on the decks and a dancefloor that’s hypnotically moving to the beat without any other care in the world. Our only hope is that he makes a return trip to his newfound home on Box Of Cats in the future to bring even more house goodness to our speakers.

Listen to No More / Burn on Spotify or your preferred platform, and make sure to follow David Herrlich on social media to stay in the know on future releases.

After ten years of working for nonprofit organization Pro Player Foundation, Gilmore launched EDM Identity as a media outlet offering accurate informative coverage of the rave scene and electronic music as a whole. Although they cover comprehensive topic matter, they have taken special care in interviewing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Adventure Club, Gorgon City, Lane 8 and Afrojack. In addition to household names, they have also highlighted unsung heroes of the industry through their ID Spotlight segment.
