Spanish melodic house artist Odsen makes his return to Monstercat Silk with the release of his latest two-tracker, Garden’s Edge.
Odsen has been obsessed with music since he was a child growing up in Spain. His earliest days were spent exploring how to make music by creating shoebox guitars before he inevitably found a passion for electronic music after being exposed to legends like Armin van Buuren and Royksöpp. This piqued his curiosity about how to produce electronic music, and he hasn’t looked back after diving into the realm of melodic house.
Since making his debut in 2017, Odsen has graced labels like Spring Tube Limited, Majestic Family, Round Triangle, and Coldharbour Recordings, but his biggest home has been on Monstercat Silk. This year alone has seen him deliver two EPs on the imprint, Shadow Settles and Your Way, and now he’s gifted fans with his latest helping of melodic house beats on Garden’s Edge.
Out now across all platforms, this two-track release from Odsen puts his innate ability to craft gorgeous soundscapes that are dripping with emotion on full display. The title track leads the way with its vibrant chords that will evoke a sense of warmth during the cooler months ahead, while the vocals that dance in the background bring a youthful ambiance with them to remind you of your days spent on the playground.
Then, Odsen urges everyone to take a pensive moment for themselves when “Retrospective” enters into the mix. This tune is darker than the previous one, giving a more mature feeling as he plays with different textures, piano notes, and progressive elements to bring it to life. “Retrospective” is Odsen at his finest, so make sure to give this one a spin.
