REMNANT.exe makes his way back to Ophelia Records with the release of his new three-track EP, Source Code!

REMNANT.exe is on a roll right now. The trap enthusiast is known for creating outwardly records that bring a sense of calm to the brain. He’s the genius behind “Powercell,” “Energy Field,” “searching” with juuku, and a personal standout, “Singularity.” In addition, he’s received support from RL Grime, Seven Lions, and Hex Cougar, releasing music on their labels Sable Valley, Ophelia, and Alter/Ego. And he recently performed at Brownies and Lemonade‘s Triple Double Cross, alongside, Hekler, barnacle boi, Deadcrow, and Kumarion.

With all this momentum building around him, REMNANT.exe is gracing us with his next project on Ophelia, Source Code. This three-track EP features a dreamy collection of mind-twisting tunes that make it easy for you to escape within yourself. For instance, on “Holon System,” the hair-raising melodies, seamless transitions, and delicious distortion feel like a gentle head massage. Together, REMNANT.exe and iSorin take you on an adventure with their captivating sound leaving you wanting more.

The combination of distorted synths and euphoric-driven melody work well together on “Source Code.” Despite the overflowing distortion and sudden shifts, the record feels comprehensive and polished. You can tell that REMNANT.exe is creating this magical experience, and it’s pretty wicked how he’s able to do that. Then, he closes things out with “Cerulean,” a gentle tune that makes you feel that deep shade of blue until that final twist at the two-and-a-half-minute mark. As a whole, REMNANT.exe continues to push the sounds of trap and wave forward powerfully. Well done.

Don’t just take my word for it. Listen to Source Code on Spotify or your favorite music platform and share your thoughts in the comments below.

Raven doesn't discriminate when it comes to EDM. She's a lover of every genre, but RL Grime will forever hold the key to her heart and wallet. This LA native has been apart of the community since 2011 and has watched it grow like no other. She's excited about the new wave of talent turning up at events and strives to keep PLUR alive as new people join the community. Raven has a bad case of FOMO and spends too much money on festivals, so if you ever see her at a show—give her a hug, trade some kandi, and shuffle together.
