OLAN Announces 'Contra' and Releases Lead Single

**OLAN is set to release her debut album, Contra, on June 10 via Anjunadeep and gives everyone a first taste with “Wake And Return.”**

Rising through the ranks of the Anjunadeep roster is OLAN, who has caught listeners’ attention with a series of successful singles including “In Motion” with Nourey, along with Group Therapy and Anjunabeats Rising mixes, collaborations with Mat Zo, and more. Further, she’s taken the stage for performances at Beyond Wonderland SoCal and Ultra Miami, this year, while also being slated for Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge and providing support on Ben Böhmer’s North American tour.

There is no stopping OLAN and today, she announced her forthcoming, debut album Contra that’s due out June 10. Born from isolation and introspection during the pandemic this album was a way for OLAN to escape and find peace amidst all of the uncertainty as she explored self-awareness and self-acceptance through her songwriting.

With the clarity gained through this creation process, OLAN is ready to share Contra with the world. She flexes her talents as a classically trained musician by incorporating live instruments, vocals, and dynamic songwriting into the album. Further, OLAN draws on influences from varied styles – melodic house, breakbeat, downtempo, drum and bass, ambient, and hip-hop – as well as the video game Outer Wilds.

The album is about letting go of my need for control and definition, about living without knowing why, and re-learning how to enjoy my time alone with my own thoughts.
