Pete Tong and Goom Gum just dropped their brand new track, “Signal,” bringing along Anna Schneider and Bora Uzer for remix action!

For over 30 years, Pete Tong has been an unstoppable force in the scene and a global ambassador of dance music. Along the way, he’s made a huge name for himself on BBC Radio One, hosting his incredibly popular Essential Mix series while running his record label FFRR Records and helping to organize the International Music Summit in Ibiza. But above all else, he’s kept the world dancing with an insanely stacked personal discography and today we celebrate his latest EP, Signal.

Hitting your speakers via Renaissance Records, Pete Tong is joined by DJ/producer duo Goom Gum on the single, “Signal.” This track is full of glowing spirit and the perfect choice to warm you up during these cold winter nights. From the low octave synth boom to the repetitive trio of notes that dominate your attention as your body movements synch with the beat, “Signal” will leave you utterly satisfied. With such a strong track on their hands, the boys wanted to take the tune a giant leap further with a festive and flirty Tulum Mix, born from Pete’s passionate love for the tropical paradise in Mexico.

I’d been a growing fan of Goom Gum and ended up signing their re-version of Depeche Modes’ “Master & Servant” to TSZ Recordings, a new label I started in 2019. Just before the pandemic the guys sent me a rough sketch of “Signal” And asked if I wanted to collaborate. After playing it out a few times and adding some ideas and arrangement changes, I dropped it in Tulum and the crowd went crazy, which I was grateful to experience because it was one of my last big shows before lockdown.

But the fun doesn’t end with the Tulum Mix. There are still three remixes to sink your ears into, two from Berlin-based artist Anna Schneider dubbed the Break The Signal and Deep Code remixes, and a gorgeous remix from rising Russian star Bora Uzer. For Break The Signal, we’re met with a smoldering electronica-inspired atmosphere that you can feel in the furthest corner of your subconscious. She playfully switches it up on Deep Code to give us a dose of 4/4 with a carefree punch, inviting your spirit to dive deep into German club life. Finally, Bora Uzer ties the package together with a futuristic offering perfect for a late-night romp under the twinkling stars.

We’re delighted Pete came onboard for ‘Signal.’ His support of our work has been amazing, but to get to actually work together was beyond our wildest expectations. His experience and insight helped craft the track into a total dancefloor bomb. We’ve been road testing it at our gigs lately and, trust us, it works!
