Fresh off the release of “2MUCH” on Solotoko, Brazil’s own KVSH and Lothief serve up a special mix that’s sure to get your feet moving!
As the fifth largest country in the world, the expansive tropical escape known as Brazil has gifted us with a vast number of incredible electronic dance music artists throughout the years. Some names that immediately come to mind are Só Track Boa’s Vintage Culture, the award-winning Alok, rock musician turned DJ FTampa, and Dirtybird’s own Ciszak, DJ Glen, and Bruno Furlan. As you can see, the scene would not be the same without Brazil’s extraordinary musical output, and included in this lot are friends Luciano Ferreira and Leandro Souza aka KVSH and LOthief.
With a focus on everything house, Lemon Drop founder KVSH has the beats to make the main stage come to life with raw power and eclectic soundwaves. With his first taste of music production at the age of eight in his hometown of Belo Horizonte, he would eventually go on to create tracks like the hella-intense “Sicko Drop” with Schillist, the emotional “Descontrol” alongside Vintage Culture, and the flavor-soaked “Suavemente” with Beowülf. When it comes to LOthief, we dive into the bass house side of life, allowing our bodies to vibrate with quirky tracks like “Losing Control,” “Tootski,” and “The Bump,” making him a must-see at Brazilian festivals like Kaballah, Sunset, and Carnaval Green Valley.
While it’s clear they’ve hit the ground running individually, these boys have found quite the comradery as one musical unit. Blending their unique flavors, KVSH and LOthief have dominated the dancefloor with infectious tunes including “So What” featuring Willa, “Lasers,” and their most recent treat “2MUCH” featuring Kyra Mastro. The latter was officially released this past weekend on Solotoko and blends future-forward energy with the classic vibes we crave, showing us just how in tune these two are with the heartbeat of the scene.
In honor of the drop we wanted KVSH and LOthief to show us how Brazilians do it best, so they’ve put together a body-rocking mix sure to leave you ready to book your ticket straight to South America.
