Mavros Induces a State of Bliss with His Summer Mix

San Diego-based DJ and producer Mavros is re-emerging from the pandemic in style and shows us why he’s one to watch with this mix.

It’s a new dawn for many artists in the scene after the turbulent year we all just experienced and Mavros is one of the rising stars who is already beginning to make some huge strides. Joaquin Limon has graced the city of San Diego with trance for years now, he’s continued to carve out even more space and turn heads around the world with his new alias.

In 2018 Mavros landed his collaborative tune with Royal Zeven, “Fate,” on Black Sunset Music to truly begin his new journey. Now, after further honing his craft and defining the direction of his sound, he made a huge splash in 2021 by gracing the Anjunabeats Rising series with a sensational tune, “Abyss.” Firmly centered in the realm of progressive house, this track is brimming with classic sounds that will take you back in time to a different era of the scene, while simultaneously keep you grounded in the present with its tribal elements as well.

As the end of the summer approaches on the horizon by the day, Mavros has spun up a mix filled with some tunes that will keep you grooving away until the colder months begin to bear down on us all. He puts his distinct style on full display throughout the mix and marries different eras of progressive and trance together in perfect harmony. So give it a spin and get swept away by his soundscapes.

This mix features all pure tracks and one remix made by myself. I’m trying to find inspiration in old styles of Progressive and Trance and blend them with the new sounds of Melodic House & Techno and Progressive. I hope you enjoy it!
