With summer coming to a close, Claude VonStroke and Nala keep the fire fueled with a two-track EP called Everything Is Burning on Dirtybird.
If you’re on the search for a veteran artist blended with a new rising star in the house music realm to hold an empowering conversation, there’s no doubt that Claude VonStroke should be on your radar for some impactful tunes. This time around, the father of the Dirtybird imprint and looked to Los Angeles-based artist Nala for his latest collaborative body of work, the two-track Everything Is Burning EP.
This fantastic EP from Claude VonStroke and Nala is out now on Dirtybird Records and weaves in a story that’s short but sweet during the runtime of its two moody house cuts. Title track “Everything Is Burning” brings hypnotic lyrics from Nala that’s full of helicoptering vocal chops, drums, and a heated bassline that can overwhelm a thermostat in any environment. On the flipside, “Wet State” features deep house indie sounds that drive chill yet infectious vocals that bubble up to the surface, as synths and hi-hats build the anticipation to the track entirety.
Although this is Nala’s first collaborative release with Claude VonStroke, her style burns deep to be brilliant as her full potential will spark up into the sky. She’s been carving out some space with her sound on the label and is clearly on a path of dominating even more. And with Dirtybird Campout on the horizon, we can’t wait to hear what both her and Papa Claude will be bringing along with them during their sets at the annual gathering, but expect to hear these fantastic tunes get played!
