Indian artist Anish Sood unveils his roots on Anjunadeep with four stunning tracks under his Anyasa alias on the Gaya EP.

The first Indian artist who has made his homecoming to Anjunadeep is Anish Sood, under his alias Anyasa. Growing up on Anjuna Beach in Goa, he has made waves for sharing his story through music to where it all began. Last month, “Rasiya” helped unravel the rose petals to tastemakers and fans around the globe to announce the beauty within his music while reflecting ‘Gaia,’ the Greek goddess of Mother Earth. Now with Anyasa’s first EP seed planted in the ground, the world may enjoy Gaya EP.

In the beginning, the EP “Rasiya” leads the natural expedition by erupting through the earth’s crust, featuring an angelic chord progression paired with Isheeta Chakravarty’s voice. The gentle percussion pairs perfectly with the melody to prepare the soul for what is to come. Up next is “Nacho,” in which Anyasa blends Basanti’s vocals with ricocheting arpeggios as the soundscape rains down on listeners to grow the excitement. As we’re carried through the tune, the sound showers the plants of the listener by greeting them with a warm ray of light as the track dries off to completion.

While the sun is still out, “Ranjhna” beckons Avneet Khurmi’s vocals as the oscillating synths and other delectable elements appear to propagate a new perspective for the listener as they begin to ascend into the earth’s atmosphere. The whirling blend of vocals and add fruition and intuition to help grow peace of mind when listening. As the growth of Gaya EP has reached its fullest potential, “Nadiyan” has dominated the crop and packs the most rivetted beats to soak up within the joy of listening. Amira Gill’s vocals appear to heighten the senses and appreciate the entirety of the EP in its totality as it fades into the circle of life.

Check out Anyasa’s extended mixes on Gaya EP on Spotify or your favorite streaming platform, and stay tuned for more for this rising star on Anjunadeep!

Ashley is a passionate artist from Orange County that loves to escape into Los Angeles to dance any chance she can. Ashley's flair for music started at the young age of six when she received her first Casio keyboard to start her self-discovery through the sound. In High School, she began to learn guitar, write songs, and attended many shows to discover new genres. Her first memory of electronic music is attributed to her parents during a road trip, where her father played Moby in the car. Music helped her grow personally and professionally while studying to earn her Bachelor's of Fine Art degrees in Creative Photography and Illustration at California State University of Fullerton. Jamie xx, Tycho, Ratatat, and Above and Beyond are some of her favorite artists. You can find her in the crowd, grooving, and sharing genuine smiles wherever she goes.
