Nostalgix Gives Us a Taste of HARD Summer 2021

Nostalgix will be taking the stage at HARD Summer with her signature sassy, infectious house music — and she’s getting us hyped up with a new mixtape.

As a staple festival in Southern California for over a decade, HARD Summer never misses a beat when it comes to their talent curation. With a mixture of big names and fresh talent spanning multiple genres, it’s tough to hold a candle to the vibes the festival brings. Now that their loyal attendees have been cooped up for far too long, this is shaping up to be a weekend for the books. To get us through a long week of anticipation before the festival, artists from the lineup are giving us a taste of what to expect with their exclusive HSMF21 Mixtapes — and today, it’s time for Nostalgix to take the spotlight.

It’s almost impossible not to dance when Nostalgix’s music comes on. Her style of funky, fun beats and catchy lyrics are reflected in her signature tracks like “Spice Girl” and “Famous,” a track she actually raps on herself. With every release and every show, she’s proving that her talent knows no bounds. That’s especially impressive for a young artist who is largely self-taught. She started her career by teaching herself how to DJ, playing shows around her college campus, learning as she went. It’s amazing to see how far she’s come.

Fresh off a last-minute performance at Space Yacht this past Tuesday, Nostalgix is keeping her momentum going with this addicting, bouncy mixtape. To get everyone hyped up she not only spun up a mix featuring a flurry of her own tracks and others from ALRT, Cazztek, Habstrakt, Blossom, and more – but also just unveiled her latest single “Friends” as well. Out now on Thrive Music, she teamed up with Amy Miyú on the sensational house heater that will surely be heard in her two sets this weekend. We couldn’t be more excited to see her living out her dreams and tearing up the stage at HARD, adding yet another accomplishment to her track record, and we know it won’t be her last.

Playing HARD Summer is an absolute dream come true. I’m so excited to go to my first HARD and show everyone what I’ve been working on for the past few years. This is my debut festival performance in the US so it’s gonna be such a special one, and I’m bringing a lot of new music! HARD Summer, I seriously can’t wait to see you!
