Michael Hooker Wants to ‘Feel Your Love’

Rising house and techno artist Michael Hooker finds his way back to Desert Hearts Black, strapped with his red hot two-track EP, Feel Your Love!

Re:Sound Music founder Michael Hooker has been on absolute fire this year, with EP’s Talk To Me and Howling For The Underground making us all howl for some more music from this rising star! Well, those prayers have been answered as he has landed on Desert Hearts Black for the second time since “Concept 9” made it onto Gateways, Vol. 1. This two-track EP is called Feel Your Love and although the title may throw off pretty rainbow and butterfly vibes, what you’ll actually experience is a sultry attitude with a psychedelic edge.

So, let’s check out the highlights. The title track sees BRKT joining in on the fun as it kicks off with a joyous drive before nosediving straight into an eerie vocal accent. This is featured artist Bryant Lamar warming up his chops before digging into the lyrics, weaving a sensual story that will leave you hot under the collar. The soft hum reappears intermittently, suspending gracefully among the whistful melodics. What I desire most in the world is to hear this track being played out as the sun slowly sets on the horizon, casting a fiery orange glow across the land.

Now that my heart is exploding with desire, it’s time to spiral down the rabbit hole. “Glossolalia” serves up some incredibly trippy soundwaves that act as the focal point from start to finish. I find myself dedicated and focused on the eclectic sounds that ping and pop through the speakers. When the feminine fairy-like voice slides in, my pupils dilate with excitement as my hairs stand in salute. With every second that goes by, the track brings me deeper and deeper into the abyss and I’m happy to stay here forever.

Now it’s your turn to enjoy the music! Grab your copy of Feel Your Love on Beatport, stream the EP below, and let us know what you think in the comment section!
