Tim Green makes his return to All Day I Dream with The Moss, his sophomore EP on the imprint that features three fantastic tunes.
Since first emerging onto the scene, Tim Green has continued to impress fans around the world with his impeccable releases and sets at some of the world’s top venues and festivals. During this time his music has found a home on labels ranging from Get Physical and Cocoon to Anjunadeep and even Dirtybird, but more recently he’s looked to Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream for some of his recent stunners.
Last year, Tim Green brought a sense of serenity amidst the madness that the world was experiencing with the release of the Vacation To Life EP, and now he’s made his grand return with a fresh EP in tow. Out now across all platforms, The Moss EP shows off some of the best soundscapes to come from this storied producer yet across the three lengthy tunes found within it.
Leading the expedition into the realm of chilled out house music is the EP’s title track, “Moss.” This tune might feel like a bit of a slow burner, but it has just the right amount of energy to carry listeners forward into a dream-like state as the beats chugs along and soft piano notes fill the ears. The airy vocal adds an extra layer to the blissfulness of “Moss” as percussion takes center stage to give the song an organic feel that will awake the soul. We couldn’t think of a better tune to play as you sway in a hammock watching the clouds pass by over your head.
As the daylight hours pass by, Tim Green then offers up something truly special – his remix of swoof’s “Tidal.” Originally a secret bootleg that fans hoped would see the light of day, this fresh-cut sees him utilize elements from the original while his signature soft-touch is added in. Delicate piano notes find a home in this one as well, but what makes this stand out are the other instrumentals that are perfectly added in to create an immersive listening experience.
To close out the EP, Tim Green then brings “Coriolis” to the masses. Picking up the tempo just a touch to make this one best suited for the sunset hours, the vocal in this tune arrives soon after the beat begins to call you straight to the dancefloor. The worries of anyone who listens will wash away as the strings crescendo and fill the soul with warm, comforting feelings as the drums urge feet to move along with them. Close your eyes when listening to “Coriolis” and you’ll be immediately transported to a sandy beach with waves crashing in the background. Can you smell the salty ocean air yet? We sure can.
