Jake Kaiser Makes His Debut on PRGRSSN with 'Anna'

San Francisco-based producer Jake Kaiser takes atmospheric house to all new heights with his three-track Anna EP on PRGRSSN.

Jake Kaiser is an up-and-coming producer based out of San Francisco who has begun to make some waves in the scene. Already beginning to find a home on labels like Nora En Pure’s Purified and Elliptical Sun Melodies, he continues to impress with each passing release. Now, he’s made his debut on Le Youth‘s PRGRSSN Records with a new three-track EP dubbed Anna.

This fresh release from Jake Kaiser highlights his abilities to create gripping soundscapes that are filled to the brim with stunning progressive melodies. Title track “Anna” leads the charge with its soothing natural sounds and a steady tempo in tow. Drawing inspiration from the world outside of his studio, the track draws its name from the species of hummingbird that floated in the air outside its window regularly. Blending elements ranging from the electric guitar to, yes, even bird recordings, it sets a vibrant atmosphere filled with grace and pleasant sounds.

“Borah” arrives next and has a majestic, fresh start with synths and a slower tempo that will put listeners’ minds at ease. This entrancing tune presents field recordings with magnificent build-ups to make it act as a perfect bridge on the release. Then, the third and final track, “Equinox,” enters the fray with driving synths that evoke a sense of wonder and suspense. Although it’s darker in comparison to the other tunes on the EP, Jake Kaiser still finds a way to create warmth with its deep melody to make for a fantastic close.
