Sky Roses Drops Fresh Remixes for “Cosmos”

in New Releases

After releasing “Cosmos” last year, Sky Roses spun up his own VIP remix and enlisted Koreskape to also flip the tune to his liking.

UK-based producer Sky Roses is a rising star in the bass music scene who is making some moves with future and melodic bass infused tunes in tow. Although 2020 didn’t quite go the way anyone intended, he found success with releases such as his remix of Kiefer Ian’s “I Don’t Need You” along with originals including “Drop a Tear,” “Around You,” and “Separate Yourself.”

Sky Roses started the new year off strong with the release of his Ethereal EP on The Landing Strip at the beginning of February. Now, he’s continuing that push with two fresh remixes of his previously released tune “Cosmos.” It wasn’t difficult for Sky Roses to find the perfect artist to look to for the lead remix, as Koreskape joined in on the fun. Having just teamed up on “Homefree,” it was easily a match made in heaven. Koreskape takes all the core aspects of the original remix and ups the tempo to layer in a trap beat.

I liked the idea of a song being both figuratively and literally about exploring the unknown with a loved one. Taking something familiar and experiencing something new. I generally include a lot of trap/hip hop influence in my work, so including trance elements helped perpetuate the idea of exploring something new, that also captured the beauty of space, and the story the song tells.

Of course, the remix EP wouldn’t be complete without a new take on the tune from the original artist, and that’s just what Sky Roses did. His Colour Bass VIP remix sees this rising star twist it into a pop-infused future bass tune and takes it to even greater heights. We can’t wait to see where Sky Roses sets off to next on his journey, but soak up these cuts of “Cosmos” for a sampling of where he’s headed in the future!
