Alpha Trap Ignites a Fire in Our Souls with This Mix

Texas-based artist Alpha Trap is melting worries away in the earliest days of the new year with a mix that will get you in the right groove!

The great state of Texas has become a breeding ground for some of the freshest faces in the dance music scene who are carving their space and Alpha Trap is one of the latest to stake a claim. Last year saw him release drum and bass tune “Babee” and a remix of Lovely Bones’ “Sometimes” that really hit the spot, but it was his dynamic mixes that really stood out.

Throughout 2020, he released three fresh editions of his Above The Daze mix series that included his performance during Baked Up’s ABELFEST, but he didn’t stop there! True to his name he delivered a second series dubbed Beat The Trap that further proved his tastemaking abilities and the New Year’s Eve edition that was brimming with fantastic tunes.

Now, to help everyone shake off the winter chill, Alpha Trap has spun a mix that will get anyone who loves electronic music moving to the beat. Tracks in the mix range from Fetish’s “Pipe Down” and Ranger Trucco‘s “Ear Ringing” to Bushbaby’s “Let You In” and Nostalgix‘s “Act Out,” making for a groovy ride with a touch of heaviness along the way.

Throughout my life – from Houston to San Antonio to Austin, from my hometown to my university, and to the music scene including all of Central Texas – I have learned so much from those I surround myself with. I learn from them and their successes, as well as their failures. With my Alpha Trap project, it’s a message to my listeners, a way of living.
