Fresh on the heels of his sophomore album, ford. has delivered a wondrous music video for his hit single “Fruit&Sun.”
ford.’s enchanting sophomore album The Color Of Nothing took the indie-electronic world by storm. Released via Foreign Family Collective, he created a sonic story through 11 dynamic tracks. Featuring standout lead singles “Living, Breathing,” and “Hold On,” ford. turns to one of the beloved tracks released on the album, “Fruit&Sun,” for a full animated makeover.

Enlisting the help of Mitch Pond, ford. adds blissfully bright animations to his delicate track. Pond’s profound hand at animation shines beautifully via psychedelic color-play and intricate design throughout the spellbinding near-three-minute display. Serving as the perfect visual representation of “Fruit&Sun,” this video exudes determination to further put listeners into a euphoric trance-like state.
For ‘Fruit&Sun’ I wanted to create a kind of subconscious roller coaster ride, I took imagery from the album art and held it in my head while listening to the track until two elements would link themselves to each other and push the idea forward. It wasn’t always clear where the video was headed working that way, but you can’t plan to arrive at an unexpected place.

At only 20-years-old, ford. has already amassed some massive recognition for his work. An artist to watch now and well into the future, we recommend giving not only this music video a thorough watch, but spinning the full LP front to back as well. And then maybe front to back a few more times for good measure.
