Deeparture Returns to This Never Happened with New EP

Melodic house artist Deeparture has landed his latest dreamy EP, Stator Vane, on Lane 8’s imprint This Never Happened.

Since first breaking onto the house music scene, Dominique Vijverberg, better known as Deeparture, has been on quite a rise through the ranks. Over the years his progressive house and melodic beats have been welcomed with open arms on labels like Zerothree Music and Colorize, while also finding a home on Lane 8’s This Never Happened. And 2020 has continued that trend, seeing his track “Ignition” land on Colorscapes Vol. 2 while also having his remixes featured on Brightest Lights Remixed and This Is Not Our Universe (The Remixes) as well.

Today, the bond between Deeparture and This Never Happened has furthered its growth, as he returns to the label with a new masterpiece dubbed Stator Vane. This three-track release is one that will immerse listeners within moments and offer a much-needed respite amidst the madness of the world. While this EP is one that you can definitely dance to, it also stirs up emotions for anyone looking to spend some time on reflection and find their inner zen.

Each tune on Stator Vane brings with it a unique, carefully crafted soundscape to explore throughout its runtime. The title track kicks things off with its near five-minute journey filled to the brim with serene sounds that are perfect for those rainy afternoons with a fire roaring close-by. “True North” picks up the pace for a track we can only imagine being played out during a daytime party at a sandy beach with waves crashing down in the distance. Then, “Fuselage” transitions that party into the evening hours with its hypnotic beat and vocal sample that will run through your mind well after the track reaches its conclusion.

If you’re someone who loves the realm of melodic house and techno, this EP is one that simply needs to be added to your collection. Listen to Stator Vane by Deeparture on Spotify or your preferred platform, and let us know what you think about this fresh EP on This Never Happened in the comments!
