Dosem Announces New Melodic Techno Album ‘Dream Decoder’

Spanish melodic techno maestro Dosem is preparing to drop his latest album, Dream Decoder, that draws inspiration from his own lucid dreams!

Since first breaking onto the scene over a decade ago, Dosem has become one of the powerhouse artists in the house and techno realm with his blend of progressive and melodic beats. Previously landing on labels like Suara, Truesoul, and Toolroom, his recent sonic explorations over the past few years have also found a home on Anjunadeep as well.

On September 25, Dosem will be heading back to Anjunadeep for his fourth studio album, Dream Decoder, which takes on a diverse and forward-facing sound with carefully crafted progressions and atmospheric qualities. The influences for the 15 tracks on the album stem from his stays in Tokyo, where he played around with lucid dreaming and explored the alternate realities of his own mind.

In recent years, I became interested in the practice of lucid dreaming. This technique took on particular relevance during my various stays in Tokyo – a place that has always transmitted to me that beautiful metaphor between dreams and reality. I came up with the idea of making an audiovisual tribute to this wonderful city. So I started taking photos of its streets and its architecture, which at some point, served also as a gateway for those dream experiences. In this way, each song represents a dream, an album made of stories between this world and other worlds. A journey that tries to decode the dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious through music.

Ahead of the release, he’s delivered the first single, “Tower,” an intense and gripping tune that acts as a perfect peek into his vision for the album. Filled with acid melodies and a driving bassline that will have shufflers dancing away in their rave caves, it’s a solid soundscape for anyone to explore.

Be sure to check out Dosem’s single “Tower” on all platforms and get ready for the anticipated release of Dream Decoder on September 25 by pre-ordering or pre-saving the album now!
