deadmau5 and Beatsource Team Up for Pomegranate DJ Challenge Remix Contest


Beatsource and deadmau5 have partnered up to give future stars a moment in the spotlight with the Pomegranate DJ Challenge.

The necessity of keeping the scene going during the pandemic has not gone unnoticed and artists like deadmau5 are doing their best to keep us grooving while also fostering new talent as well. After the release of his latest track “Pomegranate” that saw the mau5trap boss team up with legendary duo The Neptunes, he’s now teamed up with Beatsource to give rising stars in the scene their chance to put their remixing skills on display with the Pomegranate DJ Challenge.

Artists looking to participate in the challenge can do so by serving listeners with a fresh remix of the single and posting it on Instagram. The video must be 60 seconds or less and you must tag @beatsourceofficial, @deadmau5, and use the hashtag #PomegranateDJChallenge in your post. Entries close on July 8 at 11:59 p.m. PT and will be judged on creativity by the Beatsource team.

As for the prizes, the grand-prize winner will receive a $2,000 Apple gift card, while three will win a 1-year subscription with Beatsource based on their creative takes of the track. Beatsource and deadmau5 will announce the winner on July 15 so make sure to check out the entries that have already surfaced on Instagram, put your own spin on the tune to enter, and check out the announcement video below!
