Trance Family SF members are in for a unique experience as Factor B debuts his brand new ‘Theatre of the Mind’ OTC event on February 14!
Insomniac’s trance brand Dreamstate has teamed up with the Trance Family SF to bring Bay Area trance fans a truly unique event. On Friday, February 14, Factor B will be bringing romantic vibes to Halcyon SF fitting for the long Valentine’s Day weekend. Factor B’s music is breathtakingly beautiful but what makes this event special is that he will be debuting his brand new ‘Theatre of the Mind’ project as he plays an open-to-close set for the very first time!
Fans know Factor B as one of the most uplifting producers in the modern trance era. His ability to fuse melodies with gorgeous extended buildups and breakdowns have become part of his signature style. However, his new ‘Theatre of the Mind’ project breaks away from his uplifting trance style to show another side of him. Upon listening to the clips he’s been posting, this new project has this sweet progressive sound but also incorporates a very cinematic style, akin to what one would hear in a System F set.
Though there will be a considerable amount of tracks dedicated to this new style, Factor B will still be spinning his usual tried and true tracks that fans love. As this is his very first Open-to-Close, it will be a proper journey chronicling his musical repertoire. To be quite honest, we’re not sure what to expect as along with his signature songs and remixes of known tracks, the unique ‘Theatre of the Mind’ portion will incorporate 20 brand new, unreleased original productions and the entire OTC will span from 125 – 142 BPM.
Factor B’s ‘Theatre of the Mind’ performances have only been announced in San Francisco and Birmingham so far. So if you’re a fan of his signature style and are intrigued by the sounds he’s been teasing leading up to the event, definitely make the trek to San Francisco for what is sure to be an unforgettable event as who knows when he’ll be playing this again!
