GRiZ Drops Off Hard-Hitting ‘Bangers[4].Zip’ EP

in New Releases

The fourth installment of GRiZ’s Bangers series is his strongest to date and highlights his masterful productions from house to dubstep and beyond!

Having recently wrapped up his Ride Waves Season 2 Tour, GRiZ has been riding high on a wave of new releases via his Bangers EP series. Today we have been blessed with his strongest showing to date. Bangers[4].Zip highlights GRiZ’s bass-centric side in the greatest ways possible. From bass house, masterful synth stabs, and plenty of heavy dubstep, GRiZ’s production abilities shine bright throughout the release.

The EP opens with “Gonna Get Funky,” a house track works perfectly as a feel-good-house-vibe perfect for kick-starting any party. This opening track showcases GRiZ’s ability to perfectly blend his masterful funky bass productions into an all-new bass house banger. Along with a tip of the hat to the “Cha Cha Slide” GRiZ’s all original lyrics come front and center through the unmistakeable vocoder, launching “Gonna Get Funky” into the next dimension.

“Lets Get Weird” is a certified banger. Once again GRiZ delivers a proper dose of wobbles to his already legendary Bangers series. Capitalizing on his mastery of stabbing bass synths, grinding sub-bass, and one of a kind wobbles “Let’s Get Weird” does exactly that. GRiZ tosses in a sample of a little kid saying, “that was legitness!” yes it was indeed.

Bangers[4].Zip closes on a high note with “Tiger Kingdom Space Camp” which is quite possibly GRiZ’s strongest bass-forward production to date. Powerful marching band elements join forces with GRiZ’s newly minted signature wobbles to create a true bass music masterpiece.”Tiger Kingdom Space Camp” easily steals the show from the rest of the EP in the best way possible and only leaves us craving the next installment of this legendary Bangers series.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
