Let’s Throw it Back to 2011 with Excision & Downlink’s “Existence VIP”

Maria Clinton
Excision & Downlink - Existence VIP

As we get pumped for this weekends trip into bass mania, let’s relive one of the best Excision & Downlink tracks to ever materialize, “Existence VIP”!

Lost Lands Music Festival is on the precipice of entering its third year and we couldn’t be more pumped! For bass revelers across the globe, this means three full days of hair raising frequencies, booming basslines, and countless amounts of headbanging opportunities. With Excision at the forefront, our trip into the land of the lost promises to be the highlight of the year, as usual. To kick off all of the wild shenanigans, why not rewind time with a throwback to one of my personal favorite dubstep tracks, “Existence VIP”.

There is much to be said about the relationship between our iconic Excision and fellow collaborator Downlink. Linking up together to unleash tracks like “Heavy Artillery,” “Before The Sun,” and “Headbanga,” there is no question that these two can move mountains inside the studio. With a rich history and a friendship to boot, perched within their discography is what is, in my opinion, one of the most creative and edgy tracks to be delivered back in 2011. Found on Excision and Downlink’s Existence EP that features the likes of “Not Enough’,” “Blue Steel,” and “2005,” it stands out as the fiercest of the lot.

Lost Lands kicks off tomorrow, September 27, 2019 at Legend Valley, Ohio and tickets are still on sale! Grab yours now to get in on the bass-tastic experience! Less than 5% remain!

Eight years after its creation, it is the voice of the alien and the intense roller coaster ride of electronic insanity that pulls us in time and time again!

While it is the dinosaurs that will take front and center at Lost Lands, “Existence VIP” nods to another type of life form, the alien sent to warn humanity of their impending doom. But, with the promise of salvation after passing the alien’s test, we are thrown into a hellish ride full of gritty synths, piercing mechanics, and heavy bass energy. Still, to this day, there is nothing quite like the soundwaves that explode through “Existence VIP” and I know that this track can still garner an extreme response from the masses.

Make sure to catch Excision at the Prehistoric Paradox stage on Friday from 10:00-12:00, Sunday from 6:00-6:55 (Detox Set), and Sunday 9:45-11:00 when he goes B2B with Illenium! And make sure you don’t miss Downlink as he will be gracing the Wompy Woods stage on Sunday from 5:30-6:30!

Maria Clinton

Maria first fell in love with electronic music in the early 2000's when she heard a little tune called "Satisfaction" by Benny Benassi. Since then she has dived headfirst into the scene and is wildly passionate about the trance, techno, and tech house genres. Festival's like EDC, Dreamstate, and Dirtybird Campout hold the key to her soul and dance music will always and forever be a major part of her life.
