Holy Ship Wrecked Team Responds to Safety Concerns at Future Venue

Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana

Holy Ship Wrecked has released a statement to address the concerns raised by attendees about their safety at the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana.

Questions about the safety of attendees who would be heading to the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana for HARD Events’ Holy Ship Wrecked 2020 grew over the past few months as reports of death and illness continue to surface from the Dominican Republic. Since last year, at least 11 Americans have died while on the island and well over 100 accounts of falling ill while vacationing there have come to light in the month of June alone.

While the news hasn’t been centered solely around the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, the resort has been the setting for many of the stories that have surfaced and led to a growing concern among future attendees. Today, HARD Events and the Holy Ship Wrecked team has officially responded to the ongoing situation that is happening in the Dominican Republic.

In the statement that can be found below or on their website, the Holy Ship Wrecked Team reaffirms that the safety and security of anyone involved with the festival from attendees to staff is their top priority. They go on to say that they are communicating with the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana on a daily basis and are following the stories that have surfaced as well.

The Holy Ship Wrecked Team also highlights their own standards for safety as they’ll have a seasoned staff available around the clock. Safety and medical teams from the US will be patrolling all areas of the resort and can be easily identified with their red shirts. They’ve also stated that the host resort sources all of their products from licensed suppliers and have proper codes, seals, and stamps to verify their authenticity.

Also included in the post is a statement from the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana as well that echoes other ones made surrounding the reports of illness and the two deaths that have occurred. This is paired with quotes from US Government officials and doctors about the safety of the island and how to properly prepare for your trip.
