What was your first electronic music event?
Countdown NYE 2015
What/who influenced you to attend your first event?
In high school, I always had a love for music. I remember being one of the only people who listened to EDM. I would listen to artists such as RL Grime, Martin Garrix, and Swedish House Mafia and always wanting to find other people who liked the same music as myself.
What is one moment from an event that was special and why?
One of my most special moments was at a rave, I was giving this kid a light show and after the show, he asked if I remembered him. I sadly didn’t and he told me that about three months before I gave him a show and he loved it so much that it inspired him to become a glover himself. I felt so honored that I was someone’s inspiration.
What is your favorite festival or event?
My favorite event is Paradiso. The vibes and the scenery are so amazing. I love just vibing to the music on the hill and meeting new people. I also met my girlfriend there so it has a special place in my heart.
What is your favorite electronic song and why?
If I had to pick just one I would say “Language” by Porter Robinson. Hearing the song always put me in a good mood. I have so many memories dancing to it at festivals and everyone in the crowd singing along that cannot be beat.
Who are your favorite artists?
My favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Porter, RL Grime, Ducky, and Subtronics.
What are your favorite genres?
Dubstep, Bass House, and Electronic Synth (What Porter is classified as.)
What do you feel your “Identity” is in the electronic music community?
I’d have to say my identity in the community is the member of the group to make sure everyone is having a good time. I also am an amateur DJ, so whether it’s playing tunes for friends or making a huge Kandi piece for a friend, I’m doing whatever I can to make everyone have fun.
