Dillon Francis and Lao Ra white boi

Dillon Francis released yet another track off his upcoming album WUT WUT and we love it!

The release date for Dillon Francis‘ much-anticipated album WUT WUT is finally almost here. In just over two weeks, fans everywhere will rejoice and be able to sing along in not one language, but two! To hold you over until then, Dillon dropped another single dubbed “White Boi” today, featuring vocals from Colombian “pineapple pop” singer Lao Ra. And just in case that wasn’t enough to keep your booty-shaking self-occupied for the afternoon, the accompanying music video was just released as well!

Unlike many of the singles that have already been released ahead of the album, “White Boi” is in both Spanish and English, with the beginning of the track, chorus, and hook sung predominantly in English before Ra breaks into the fiery first Spanish verse. As for what the song is about, well, let’s just say that the title is pretty self-explanatory.

“This is an ode to the white boys in my life and how exotic and endearing they are to me,” explains Ra. “[I] Think Dillon loved the fact that he was a white boy himself. The song might be about something else tho’ but that’s for you to find out.”

Watch the official music video for “White Boi” on YouTube:

The music video follows Ra as she tells the story of how she “fell in love with a white boi” and shows Dillon dressed as multiple characters playing who we can only presume to be the white boi(s) she’s singing of. Filmed in the Dominican Republic, Ra’s outfits are as colorful as the settings she’s seen in, which suits the overall fun nature of the drop and track itself. If you want to see why Lao Ra is our latest girl crush and some adorable kids who probably have better dance moves than you, then what are you waiting for? Dillon’s new album is set to drop September 28 and we can’t wait! If what we’ve heard so far off WUT WUT is any indication as to how the rest of the album is going to sound, we’re definitely into it. And if you haven’t had the chance to listen to “White Boi” already, make sure to stream it on Spotify to instantly spice up your day!

Sydney attributes her love for music from her mom, who insisted on playing The Foo Fighters and The White Stripes rather than Kiss FM whenever she drove carpool and agreed to allow Sydney to attend Coachella in the eighth grade as long as she could go with her. That first festival only greater affirmed Sydney’s passion for the scene, but it was not until 2013 when she attended Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour concert in Los Angeles that she discovered electronic music. She was hooked instantly and has since attended a total of 23 festivals, with countless concerts in between. Sydney’s favorite artists include RL Grime, Jauz, Jai Wolf, Louis The Child, Slander, Bearson and Big Gigantic but she is constantly on the look out for new music and artists to dance to. When she’s not scouring the internet for new tracks or grooving at a concert, Sydney studies Journalism and Biology full-time at the University of Oregon.
