This week we throw it back to 2009 and relive the timeless splendor of John O’Callaghan’s “Find Yourself”!
John O’Callaghan may be one of our reigning kings of trance, but it was his 2009 smash hit “Find Yourself” that inspired big room fans all over the planet to turn his way and never look back. Soaked with anthemic feels, Sarah Howells lends her crystalline crisp vocals as John O’Callaghan weaves a dance floor masterpiece that pulls at the heartstrings and opens listeners up for a grand sing-a-long session.
As the first track on JOC’s Never Fade Away LP, “Find Yourself” was destined to become the highlight of any set list and in 2018, you can still feel its power emanating through crowds across the globe the instant the first beat drops in. In fact, there has never been a moment in my own live event history that I haven’t been swept away by the reaction that the track inspires. Unified as one, I find myself closing my eyes as thousands of my fellow ravers belt out the words as they reach for their friends and lock in for a loving embrace each time its played.

This famous JOC track has also been the perfect candidate for some remix action as it has seen Cosmic Gate, Standerwick, and Heatbeat take on the task, delivering the big room sound over to the trance realm to appease the most genre dedicated among us. But no matter which rendition you end up gravitating to, John O’Callaghan will always and forever stake claim to one of the greatest dance tracks our industry will ever know!
