These house music masters have done it again, and shown that sometimes two can be better than one! Out today on Black Book Records, the Close Your Eyes EP is an impeccable melding of Chris Lake’s funky house style and Walker and Royce’s Dirtybird prowess. Containing two equally captivating tracks, “Drop Top” and “Close Your Eyes”, this EP is sure to get you up and dancing nonstop this Friday!
We’ve been waiting anxiously for these bangers to drop since hearing them in Chris Lake’s EDC Las Vegas set as well as Walker & Royce’s set at Lightning in a Bottle, both times leaving us speechless and making the crowd go wild. The first track of the EP, “Close Your Eyes” boasts masterful basslines throughout and the catchiest twinkly hook that you’ll be singing for days. The lyrics “Close your eyes, dance with me” couldn’t be more pleasing and perfect for the enticing melody of the track.
The fire beats keep on coming with track number two, “Drop Top,” which starts off quick with an upbeat bassline and twists and turns with every new beat. They bring in a new dope sample every second, each one even more fun and funky than the last! This track will get any night off to a blazing start, the unending quirky surprises and mesmerizing distorted vocals will keep you moving and grooving from start to finish.
