As I think back on my very first “HOME” experience, I remember being among the massive crowd at EDC Las Vegas 2016.
The stars had aligned for this particular set and I was an emotional mess as Paul van Dyk took us on a spectacular auditory journey. But, it was the moment that he dropped “HOME” that the tears would come flooding out. This was the first massive that I attended without my husband in tow and from the moment the first beat danced through the air I felt as if my heart jumped out of my chest and flew straight across the country to reunite with the man I love.
I will never forget that experience and the goosebumps that enveloped my body from head to toe as I closed my eyes to let the lyrics work their magic. It is within these small moments that I am reminded of the raw connection between music and emotion, the driving force in my personal mission to chase the beats that speak to my soul!
