After five years we still can’t get enough of the power that lies within Mark Sixma’s hit tune “Requiem”!

It’s the track that would send Mark Sixma fans into a frenzy, setting the tone for full-on mainstage mayhem! Blurring the lines between trance, house, and even a touch of hardstyle, it is the raw creative power that lies within “Requiem” that places Mark Sixma up high on a pedestal as one of the most innovative musical trendsetters that the scene has ever known.

Released on Mainstage Music in 2013, the Dutch-born beat maker would literally find himself in the midst of dance music history. Little did he know but “Requiem” would ultimately become one of his most recognizable and beloved productions still to this day.

Fast forward to 2016 and “Requiem” would receive a Mark Sixma Presents M6 facelift, bringing his classic track back to the forefront of current dance music culture as the moniker boom was beginning to swell. With the M6 rework establishing a fresh twist on the original, “Requiem” is now bigger and more bad ass than ever before!

I still remember the first time I heard the original mix of “Requiem”.

I was heading to work in my car and checking out some new tunes from an artist that my husband insisted I check out. That artist, of course, was none other than Mark Sixma and on that day my world would stop in its tracks as the sounds of “Requiem” engulfed every inch of my soul.

I remember being blown away as the chanting of the dark chorus bellowed through my speakers and the power-packed synths rocked my body from head to toe. At that very moment, I had to pull over and collect my myself as I had fallen so deeply in love with the sounds of Mark Sixma!
