We are traveling back to 2008 with Dubfire’s massive Terror Planet remix of Radio Slave’s “Grindhouse”!
If you are a fan of Dubfire then I already know that at one point or another you have been exposed to the incredibly dark sound and next level underground vibes of “Grindhouse”. What started off as an eleven minute peak hour techno stunner called “Grindhouse Tool” as produced by Radio Slave back in 2008 was quickly scooped up and flipped on its head when Dubfire took the reins.
The remix dishes out a demonic dive headfirst into another dimension, delivering to us a twist of some seriously dark instrumental elements, creepy sound bytes, and lyrical thrills that call our goosebumps to come out to play.
If we take a look at the history leading up to this massive release, it is important that we make a stop back in 2006.
After stepping away from his game-changing progressive house run as Deep Dish with fellow group member Sharam Tayebi, Ali “Dubfire” Shirazinia was driven to ramp up his own solo career, delivering underground techno and minimal gems that would revitalize his mark on the scene.
Slamming on the gas pedal In 2007, Dubfire announced the launch of his new record label, Science + Technology Digital Audio, also known simply as SCI + TEC and soon, fate would place him in the running for Beatport’s “Best Minimal Artist” and “Best Techno Artist” in 2008 and 2009. He was also seen landing on countless covers of some of the most coveted music magazines all over the planet as well as being picked up by leading labels including Richie Hawtin’s Minus and Sven Vath’s Cocoon Records.
It was during this era of creative overhaul that Dubfire’s remix of “Grindhouse” featuring Danton Eeprom, would hit the airwaves. It crossed over nearly every genre at that time, becoming a true apex of the unique sound that Dubfire claims all his own and making it the perfect track for the peak hours of the night when the time comes to journey down into the rabbit hole!
And after ten years, Dubfire’s Terror Planet remix remains a staple on the tracklists of some of the biggest players in the scene including Markus Schulz and Green Velvet, solidifying this remix as a true timeless techno stunner that only gets better with age!

Radio Slave – Grindhouse ( Dubfire Terror Planet Remix) – Lyrics:
Do I wanna know?
HA!
Cause your high all over the place HA!
But right before us, my divorce…
is like a victory…
Jane says I should’ve gone home…
I’m staying…
HA!
On carries the beat…
tainting … restless…
I’m getting a little tied up
Do I wanna know?
I’m getting a little tied up
Do I wanna know?
What is that?
My lady of sorrow…
Jane says I should’ve gone home…
I’m staying…
Jane says I should’ve gone home…
I’m staying…
I’m going places that I can’t see…
HA!
Do I wanna know?
My lady of sorrow…
tainting… restless …
HA!
I’m getting a little tied up…
What did you expect
my lady of sorrow…
But right before us, my divorce …
is like a victory…
I’m stayin’…
we’re going to places that we cannot see.
Jane says I should’ve gone home…
I’m staying.
we’re going to places that we cannot see.
