Calling all fans of Seven Lions, The Observatory Episode 1 is out now for your listening pleasure!

Known as an artist who doesn’t tend to share mixes or sets very often, the announcement that Seven Lions would be kicking off an entire series came as a surprise. Releasing the first episode of The Observatory mix today, he has blown his most devoted fans away with a diverse tracklist that draws from his own tastes.

The Observatory mix doesn’t just incorporate tracks from one specific genre, but rather a range of styles that come from artists who have backgrounds in trance, house, and more. Seven Lions utilizes tracks from artists in the Anjuna Family like Above & Beyond and Lane 8, as well as explores work from other major names like Solarstone, Porter Robinson, and San Holo.

Full of original tunes and remixes, Seven Lions takes things to the next level with the inclusion of many hits he has produced as well. Tracks and collaborations like “Cold Skin”, “Cold Hearted”, and “Silent Skies” are seamlessly intertwined with the rest of the selected tunes. From the start to the very last drop, this mix will keep you along for the ride while you’re getting hit with a ton of euphoric bliss.

We don’t know the true importance of The Observatory name that Seven Lions has chosen to use for both a Spotify Playlist and now this series quite yet, but leave stream the mix below and tell us what you think it may be in the comments!

Here’s what Seven Lions had to say about the first installment:

“The Observatory Episode 1 is the first in a new mix series from me. Just like the Observatory Spotify playlist, this series allows me to highlight tracks I wouldn’t normally play in my live sets, and explore different sides of my tastes and influences. Hope you enjoy.”
