Lane 8 Root to Branch

Lane 8’s newest release, “Atlas”, is a fine reminder of all the things we love most about his sunny, positive productions.

Today, Lane 8 continued the string of impressive releases from his upcoming album, Little By Little, due out January 19, 2018. “Atlas, his newest single, was first heard by fans during his This Never Happened concert series over the summer and then mixed into his ever-popular Fall 2017 Mixtape, the track is no doubt familiar to those who have followed the progression of this exciting artist.

“Atlas” begins inauspiciously enough, with resonant, bell-like chords floating in the air. Eventually, a purposeful synth line and simple percussion kick in, driving the track forward and giving it a sense of constant motion alongside the atmospheric production.

Drawing from a similar mood to his most recent releases, the breezy, major key tune calls to mind the last golden rays of summer sunshine. The track’s release is no doubt a happy reminder for listeners who had the opportunity to catch it live during his This Never Happened summer gatherings.

Erin has been listening to electronic music on and off since the early 2000s, which is when trance music captured her heart and soul. Over the years, she has expanded into a number of other styles and genres, especially techno and house. Originally from Chicago, she spent the better part of the last decade seeking out any electronic music she could find, and traveled the length of the country in search of some incredible moments at festivals like EDC, TomorrowWorld, and the Dirtybird Campout. Having since settled in Denver, she focuses her energies primarily on the house and techno scene around town and traveling to mountain and west coast festivals whenever possible.
