#TBT || Steve Angello at Escape From Wonderland 2011

Let’s take it back to 2011 with Steve Angello’s set from the first-ever edition of Escape!

It seems like just yesterday that I was heading up to San Bernardino for the first ever edition of Escape put on by Insomniac Events. Dubbed Escape From Wonderland, the event featured one of the best lineups I’ve ever caught at a one-day show.

There were numerous artists who played Escape From Wonderland that I was seriously into at the time, as well as some that I regret not catching too. Artists like Afrojack and ATB stole my soul that night, but one of the more memorable sets was none other than Steve Angello.

Catching only some of his set, I was seriously grateful that it was broadcast on SiriusXM’s Electric Area that year so I could re-listen from start to finish. Still, to this day, I play this set when I want to turn back the clock and reminisce about that era of my raving career.

Tracks featured in the set range from Chocolate Puma’s “Dub Of Boom” to Zedd’s “Shave It”, and plenty of tracks from Steve Angello / Swedish House Mafia too. One of my favorite things about the set is also the many mash-ups featured throughout that blend perfectly with each other.
