Ahead of ABGT250, Above & Beyond release their powerful new single “My Own Hymn” featuring Zoë Johnston
With only a week to go until the 250th episode of “Group Therapy”, Above & Beyond have released a new single titled “My Own Hymn”. The track was originally debuted at Electric Zoo last weekend and it’s another home run for the trio.
The track starts off with a soft melody that leads into Zoë’s smooth angelic vocals followed by powerful synths that we’ve come to love from Above & Beyond. “My Own Hymn” blossoms into an emotional and body moving anthem. If you liked their collaboration on “We’re All We Need”, then you will definitely fall in love with this new track.

The longtime collaborator and Grammy-Nominated singer/songwriter Zoë Johnston describes “My Own Hymn” as “an ode to compassion, forgiveness, and celebration of the self. It’s about climbing out of suffering. Most of us have the freedom to make choices in life. We can choose to alter our perceptions, especially if they are proving harmful to our souls. We can also choose to ignore the perceptions of others if they are causing damage or doubt. If the songs containing other people’s scripts don’t ring true, we can write our own hymns of kindness, to celebrate the good in us, and make a decision to tip our chins to the sun again.”
The song is out now on Anjunabeats and you can stream it on Spotify, or pick up a copy on your favorite download portal.
We hope to see you at The Gorge Amphitheater next weekend and can’t wait to hear “My Own Hymn” played in front of tens of thousands of people. If you can’t make it, make sure to watch the live broadcast here.
