A home run for one of the biggest names in the electronic scene, Blueprint opens us up to a new dimension of sound with the concept of religion, history, idea, and science fiction as the chosen atmosphere surrounding an incredible auditory journey.
Designed with a distinct vision and a grand concept, Dutch electronic music producer Ferry Corsten dove into the Sci-Fi realm, focusing on atmosphere enhancing characteristics, bonded to a storyline that reaches far across a nebulous lyrical theme. But, it doesn’t end there. Ferry Corsten had a unique idea. An idea that allowed him to explore his appreciation for the art of screenwriting and film scores, ultimately scaling the project to heights uncharted.
To help with the project, Ferry Corsten turned to acclaimed screenwriter David Harrington Miller, the brilliant mind behind House Of Cards and Rosewood, to join forces with him, working closely on a storyboard and narrative that would be intertwined with the albums Sci-Fi conceptual direction. The result is a storyline that offers up a respectful nod to Sci-Fi authors such as Jules Verne, Hugo Gernsback and most distinctively HG Wells, all the while sharing equal familiarities with modern day shows such as The OA, Westworld and the retro Sci-Fi-fest Stranger Things.
Already receiving unconditional support by some of the biggest names in the dance universe such as Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, and Above & Beyond, Blueprint is out now via Ferry’s own label Flashover Recordings.
Garnering the support from his fellow dance music comrades and with passion and drive to spread the sounds born from his unique vision and inspiration, Ferry Corsten has already hit the road to bring Blueprint all over the planet! The official Blueprint Album Tour has already made stops through Myst in Shanghai, SW4 in London, and Webster Hall in New York, with a headlining performance at Exchange in Los Angeles just this past Friday. If you want to see the man in action, Ferry Corsten is sticking around over here in the good old USA and there is still a chance to be part of his incredible journey as he will be taking the Blueprint Album Tour to Dreamstate San Francisco on May 28, hosted at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, shortly followed by a stop at Opera Nightclub in Atlanta on June 16 and EDC Las Vegas on June 17!
