Since then, trance has twisted, transformed and mutated in a hundred different directions. Solarstone, one of the pioneers of pure trance, alongside some major players in the game including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Gai Barone, Dan Stone, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Bryan Kearney, Sneijder, Orkidea, Ferry Tayle, John Askew, John 00 Fleming and Liam Wilson, has made it a personal goal to bring the genre back to its glorious roots. Solarstone, above all, has been vigorously working at that goal. An outcry against inorganic and trend-driven trance, Solarstone’s gift to his faithful fans is a rediscovery of what first drew so many to the genre’s flame. The original mix takes you on a ten-minute journey, paying homage to the most fundamental elements of trance, reminding us why this is a genre that is here to stay. The pure mix amps the velocity up a bit, serving up trance perfection that is designed for a dance floor revolution. In essence, “A State Of Mind”, is a timeless nod to trance in its most glorious form and a piece that will forever remain as a staple production for years to come. This release is the first of many interrelated moves in which Solarstone will be making over the coming year and with each step that Solarstone makes from here going forward, a design with a sole purpose is incredibly evident — to build on Pure Trance’s feats and further define the beautiful genre.
