Arty Goes Back To Alpha 9 On “The Night Is Ours”!

Grant Gilmore by Grant Gilmore
February 4, 2017
in New Releases, Music

Arty returns to an old moniker, Alpha 9, with a brand new track for fans around the world!

Released on February 3rd, Arty has made a roaring comeback to his roots on “The Night Is Ours“. The Alpha 9 project had sat on the sidelines for nearly seven years until this release, as the only two other tracks released under the alias were “Bliss” and “Come Home“. The latest release was a long time coming, but was dropped right in time for a debut on Armin Van Buuren’s 800th episode of A State Of Trance! The light, airy tone of the track has listeners hypnotized in trance bliss, as the Alpha 9 sound builds into a riff that is massive and full of chords that provide the uplifting melody. This is definitely a track that I wasn’t expecting to hear drop, nor a project I was expecting to see come back to life, but I am definitely glad that Arty has breathed life back into his old sound!

About Arty:

Finding that perfect sweet spot between house and trance, Arty’s formidable sound is one of dance music’s most recognizable and sought-after. Born in Russia and growing up amidst its transition from the Soviet Union, Arty studied at music school until the age of 14, gaining invaluable training and knowledge – ultimately realizing that the traditional route was not for him. A love of video games and electronics led on to a curiosity for production equipment, and before long he was experimenting with sequencers while cutting his teeth on the sounds of The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, and The Crystal Method.

He has released huge tracks on the likes of Armind, Spinnin’, Big Beat, Ministry of Sound and Insomniac, crafting immensely popular remixes for OneRepublic, London Grammar, Above & Beyond, Halsey, Porter Robinson and Years & Years along the way.  Expect more innovation to come, an increasingly diverse palette of sounds – and of course, a truckload more of his much-loved stadium-sized creations.
