Insomniac’s Discovery Project dropped yet another stellar release in their series that highlights contest winners! For the 20th release in the series, our ears are tuned to Kyle Walker and his release “HD“. The Discovery Project Winner for the contest at EDC Las Vegas this past June, he wowed the judges with his track “Claude VonDeeper”. Taking  His attempt at victory was well deserved, having entered the contest multiple times over the years. Persistence definitely pays off, as he took the stage at EDC Las Vegas 2016 itself, he rocked the sunset set at the upside-downHOUSE and absolutely slaughtered the decks. Following up with a set at Nocturnal Wonderland to close out the summer, Insomniac also graced him with this massive release on Insomniac Records,

“HD” itself is quite the track, bringing a solid bassline and a deep, dirty house vibe with it. The heaviness of the song is apparent, and it is fitting in with the dark vibe of the month. The additional distortion in the middle of the track brings a great feel, and takes the track one deeper. The minimal female vocals of “Oh” and “Yeah” are complemented by a response of “You know you wanna”, and bring a sexy vibe to the entire song. I could see this getting heavy play at festivals featuring house artists that are looking to get the dance floor grooving, or even late night parties that are looking to keep the vibes strong.
