A few years ago, Justin Elwin (formerly known as Kit-Pop) teamed up with Ta-Ku to create a production project called HWLS and this duo will be making waves this year. For those unfamiliar with their sound, HWLS tends to drop bass-heavy club tracks infused with hip-hop, grime and trap and have remixed tracks by Hermitude, Tokimonsta and many more. The Australian pair are getting ready to release an EP and have recently dropped the first track “Gamma” from the upcoming album. For “Gamma” HWLS worked with renowned Australia producer to mix synths and heavy percussion to create a vibrant hard-hitting track that has been a hit with fans. At first listen, the track is very reminiscent of an older track by Tielsie but I invite you to listen and decide for yourselves.
